Measurements of the shade are approximately 4" wide x 4" tall, and about 1-1/8" deep. The edges of the shade are bent to diffuse the light.
The raw 14 gauge steel will patina (rust) over time.
Each piece will be ground smooth and shiny; instructions for painting will be included should you choose to paint your piece.
